A guide to creating a Cozy Creepy Halloween in your home! These furry spiders are SO affordable! They add a simple but stunning feature. If you like minimalist decor, you can stop here with just the spiders. To make it more creepy, add spider webs, tiny spiders, and skulls all over the mantle!! I have a skull that I want to spray paint black and add to this.
I have a mild case of arachnophobia; spiders are here to jump on me and bite. So putting up these spiders was a test for me 😅 The outcome is so worth it! I talked about this on my Instagram, and you guys mostly said you were scared of it!! I can hold a snake all day and be ok. I find that typically it’s one or the other that a person fears.
Which one freaks you out?! • Spiders or Snakes •
You will want to start with these medium-sized furry spiders. There are a few different options of sizes, including huge ones for outside. BUT They did not stick with command strips. The fur on the legs would just pull off.
So, I bought these zip tie holders to keep them up. I pray that the 3m tape on the back doesn’t pull off the paint. I’ll keep you updated when I take them off! The spiders do shed, so don’t wear white while decorating. LOL
To see how I liked them overall, I started with one little guy in the corner. The zip ties are attached with the holder on the legs. Pull the zip tie tight and cut off the excess.
Next, I grabbed a ladder that I could handle on my own and started creating (I sure wished I had a 16ft ladder to hang one from the ceiling) !!!
Now that I see this photo, a spider would look good on the beams too. Ooooooo yes!!
The spiders are very easy to apply. Here’s a time-lapse for you!
It is truly that simple! The zip ties do not come off easily. I’ll need to cut them off for next year to apply a new sticky part. The package of zip ties was a 100 pack, so there are plenty.
