Hosting a Last-Minute Chic Halloween Brunch

You can host a last-minute brunch this weekend easily! All you need are friends and good food, but here is what I did for mine. We had a theme of all black and chic (dressed up). Since this is last minute, you can wear regular all-black clothes and add a witch hat or cat ears.

Choosing a theme makes it extra special.

We choose all black, chic {classy}.

Last-minute decor ideas for a Halloween brunch.

Spiders hung on the stone wall by the drink station, and a creepy hanging mummy. You can grab both (click) and (click) here! I put faux spiders on my regular candles, and I had already had my dining room console set up for Halloween. You can see it in a photo below. I spray-painted everything black to get the all-black look for the decor on the console table. The paper plates I got from TJMaxx, and the glassware with the skeleton hands are from Wal-Mart. I got this coffin letterboard from Amazon and wrote a funny, cute saying. Check out this blog post for tons of Halloween letterboard ideas.

If you are last minute, you can make most anything and pop a few faux spiders on it. LOL, instant party food. My friend Ruth brought the most fantastic food. She’s creative and a great baker. We had dark chocolate cupcakes with red icing, and she put black food coloring in the apple dip… not exactly recommended, LOL. We had black teeth when we tried it.

How to make the coolest Halloween Brunch drinks.

Grab some dry ice from your local grocery store on the day of the party. Dry ice completely levels up your drink station and makes things extra spooky. It’s pretty inexpensive; make sure to look up how to use it properly. As you can see, I had gloves on to add small amounts to the drinks!

For drinks, I served hot apple cider (with or without Moscato), a dark berry sangria with blackberry sticks, and I had the hot teas, etc., out too.
