How has the first week of October already passed us by?! Lately, I’ve been thinking, we get so caught up in what we want to happen in the future that we forget to live in the right now or remember to be grateful for what’s happened already! Does that make sense? So I’m going to recap the past month for fun!
In September, we took our 10-year anniversary trip to Florida, Halloween decor was being put up at the Nelsons, and one project got put on hold indefinitely! Let me know what you would do in my situation with that project! (Photos at the end of the post!)
FLORIDA: Anna Maria Island did not disappoint. The weather was beautiful, and the area is old school Florida at its best. We stayed at a boutique-style resort called Bali Hai Resort. It’s halfway through a remodel and is gorgeous. The theme is all black, white, and wood. Since the island was practically deserted, we always had the pool to ourselves, and the beach was pretty empty all day.
I was so grateful to have these days of chill and relaxation. If you get the chance to visit Anna Maria Island, do so! ♥️ I don’t want to overwhelm this post with vacation photos, so I might just make a whole different post about everything there!
So now back to the house! I got to work with Premier Pet Brand & the kitties got an upgrade in their room 😻 See the upgrade here!
I started deep cleaning the house and found out you guys love this kind of content! Click here to view the reel.

The exterior of the house got a fall facelift! I shared tons of mum/fall flowers tips and have a guide created for all things fall. Click here to view the fall stories!
Fall & Halloween decor started to go up at the house. This is my first year with a skeleton! I’ve seen a few women do the cutest things with them and had to jump in. Meet Mr. Creeperton. 😂💀🖤 He has been pretty lazy lately. Time to get him to do some chores around the house.
I found the softest flannel shirts at Walmart for only $10. There are so many ways to style a flannel. These are men’s! I grabbed size medium for an oversized fit. You can see a glimpse of my favorite one in the first photo of this post! Shop the flannel here
The project that got put on hold is the entryway project!! Guys, I don’t know what to do. Every time I start it, I keep thinking about the board and batten and chair rail, how it will be in the way of my mirror and art that I love to have up there. Here are a couple photos of my entryway right now so you can see what I mean. What would you do? I could totally do the board and batten treatment in the “cat room.” (My new office/spare room/PlayStation room/guest room) …
