Cabinet hardware can get expensive. When we were building, I wanted custom cabinets, which meant the budget for the hardware would be smaller. I found these champagne gold (now called bronze) cup pulls and knobs for a great price compared to other designer hardware. The shade of gold creates another warm detail to the cabinet color and compliments the white oak wood island.
I am a visual person. I needed to wait until my cabinetry was in and set in place before seeing what size of hardware to buy. Here is a photo from when we were building. I found the hardware I wanted, but they came in so many sizes! I took painter’s tape, measured out the hardware, and placed them in different spaces of the cabinetry. This was helpful to see if I wanted two smaller cup pulls or one larger pull.
Here is a section full of other affordable cabinet hardware options! Everything from bronze, black, brass, and silver.
The sizes we choose for our kitchen are:

Not a very good photo, but here is the kitchen the day we moved in! I wish I could go back in time and re-live this all over!
