Kitchens are the heart of the home and in our case, one of the first things you see when you walk through our house. An open layout creates an opportunity to show off craftsmanship. I wanted to have everything clean, simple and sweet little details.
First I want to show you an example of our kitchen layout.
Farmhousemeetsmodern on Instagram are building the same style of floor plan as we are. This is a good example of the placement of our kitchen. Hers is reversed from ours.
We will have no upper cabinets except for at the coffee area. It will be all windows and open shelving. It is a smaller kitchen, so we will have pretty small sections of backsplash! The ceiling will be vaulted going through to the living room. 🖤
I especially love when the slab backsplash is brought up to become a shelf.
